this blog is designed for public in general, specialy for students of 9° from the school Pedro Grau Y Arola. in order to enable student to learn English thought the chocoan culture using the new technologies.

becous as i could know, students don't know nothing about the culture of their deparment, beside that they are unmotivated to learn English as a foreign language, then I consider tha if  want that they learn English as a foreign language I need to motivate them. and my stractegy to do it is teaching them all about Chocó deparment in English in an online context.

SAN PACHO

San Francisco’s Day is October 4. In Quibdó, there’s a procession of thousands of people that lasts more than five hours, going through the twelve “Franciscan” barrios—in each barrio there’s an “ark", a display of adoration of San Pacho. Some of these are quite elaborate, and a few of them even open up once the people are assembled in front of them. There is in some cases a social content to these displays—certainly there is a celebration of nature and animals, as one would expect, and calls on the saint to bring peace and well-being. This is a somewhat solemn procession, certainly there’s a lot of praying and singing of hymns, especially at the long stops in front of each of the arks.
